Integrated Information Technology. In the PC-market IIT was known for its floating point untis (co-processors) for 286, 386 and 486 CPU's. It was founded in 1987 and changed its name to 8x8 in the early 1990's. Both founders formerly worked at Weitek; also known for co-processors.

8x8 later entered the VoIP market.
