Founded in 1985 and started out with EGA chipsets. They continued to build chipsets for motherboards and graphic chips.

Chips and Technologies also designed x86 hardware. A SuperMath J38700DX as 80387DX compatible co-processor and a 386-compatible Super386 386000DX/38600SX processor. These processors were not as popular as Intel, AMD or Cyrix chips so Chips and Technologies never made other x86 chips.
