Diamond Stealth 64 PCI (PCI)
Diamond Stealth 64 PCI (PCI)

In 1995/1996 Diamond had a few cards at it's disposal based on S3 chips. The Stealth 64 PCI is based on the S3 86C968 (S3 Vision968) chipset which is a decent performer for DOS-games and is very compatible.

This particular card is equipped with the Stealth 64 VRAM 2MB memory module for extra RAM. The extra 2MB RAM doesn't provide extra performance but only allows the card to run higher resolutions at a higher screendepth. A 2MB card would be able to run 1024x768 at 16-bit color depth (which is, for 1995 hardware, quite high). The 4MB card is able to do 1280x1024 at 24-bit or 1600x1200 at 16-bit. > Read more
