This card uses the Avance Logic ALG2228 chipset. To my knowledge this chipset has only been used on VLB cards. The ALG2301 and ALG2302 are used on PCI cards.

Using the X-VESA benchmark it's quite a lot faster but in practical terms (i.e. Doom, Wolfenstein 3D) it's nearly identical to Cirrus Logic cards. Perhaps difference get greater when using a faster CPU. > Read more
