Hercules Dynamite 128 (PCI)

In PC Magazine (24 September 1996) three ET6000 cards were announced: this Hercules Dynamite 128, the STB Lightspeed 128 and the VideoLogic GrafixStar 600. The Hercules was the most expensive with a price of $230.

At that time they all came with 2.25MB Multibank DRAM fitted. The memory is accessed through a 64-bit datapath so it's internal 128-bit bus needs two cycles to fullfill the maximum bandwith.

It is said that the ET6000 should have excellent performance and that's no lie! I used a Pentium 100 (so margin is thin, with a super fast CPU the results would be further apart) for DOS VGA benchmarks and the ET6000 scores very well. > Read more
