Headland 'GC208'
InfoWorld reported on July 31, 1989 that Headland offers it's VGA 1024i (1024x768 resolution) for less than $400. Basically this results in just 16 colors for the 512k version and 2 colors for the 256k version at 1024x768.
Performance-wise the GC208 is average. It's not as fast as the Tseng ET4000 (although it does perform on-par with pushing ASCII on screen using SysChk) but it's not as slow as the budget chipsets like OTI067 and Trident 8900. > Read more
