ARK 1000VL
I found this Ark Logic ARK1000VL in a 486DX2/66 system. The card does its job good under MS-DOS.
ARK Logic had three chips in its early days. The 160-pin ARK1000VL (VLB), 160-pin ARK1000PV (PCI) and 208-pin ARK2000PV (PCI). The latter has a 64-bit memory interface.
This model is the ARK1000VL, which is ARK's first chip, that comes with a Vesa Local Bus (VLB) connector. Vesa Local Bus is a faster bus than the old ISA bus and can be used for graphic cards or hard drive controllers. In 33MHz bus systems (DX33, DX2/66 and DX4/100 for example) the Vesa Local Bus runs at 33MHz, too.
ARK Logic made newer chips but stopped in 1999.
