Intel 740
Intel used the 740 to enter the graphics market and popularize the AGP port. Real3D was responsible for the i740 chip and later Intel bought Real3D but fired all the Real3D employees.
The i740 wasn't a good performer compared to the Voodoo2 and RIVA TNT. It was a lot cheaper, however.
A part of the i740 technology was used to create the Intel GMA on-board graphic chipsets.
