nVidia GeForce FX 5950 Ultra

This is the GeForce FX with the highest model number, the 5950 Ultra. It does not have the highest clock frequencies (5800 Ultra has 500MHz/500MHz for core/RAM rather than 475MHz/450MHz from the 5950 Ultra) but due to the 256-bit memory bus the 5950 Ultra will be faster.

nVidia took some time to polish the GeForce FX. The 5800 Ultra was expensive to build and used high-clocked DDR-II memory with only an 128-bit memory bus. These things aren't ingredients for a high-end product. With the newer GeForce FX models (5700 and 5900 in all their forms) nVidia flip-chipped the GPU and made an 256-bit memory bus available. nVidia also redesigned the cooling system for the high-end products and came up with FlowFX 2 which is more efficient and less noisy.
