VIA Eden 800

A low-power 686-class processor with MMX and SSE instructions. It was a cheap processor which used the then already aging socket 370 platform. This allowed manufacturers to use existing designs.

Because the VIA Eden is small and energy-efficient you will often find these CPU's in embedded or thin-client devices.
