A non synthetic benchmark that utilises a floating point unit (FPU, co-processor). For ease of handling I've stripped down AutoCAD R10 to the bare minimum files needed to load the sample 'STAIR.DWG' file.

This application works only with an FPU installed. The range of systems I'd use with this benchmark is 8088 up to 386.

My benchmark method

1. Unpack ACADR10.ZIP to C:\ACADR10
2. Start AutoCAD by typing in: acad stair

3. In the menu press option 2.
4. Press 'ENTER' when AutoCAD asks for the drawing name (we specified this in step 2).

5. After the drawing loaded, type in 'hide'.
6. Press enter and start a stopwatch at the same time. Measure time until the drawing is redrawn and 'Command:' reappears. The measured time is the score. Measure twice for consistency.
