The S3 Virge GX, also known as 86C385, is a fine card for 2D output in Windows and for use in MS-DOS. These cards are very reliable and compatible for 2D/DOS-usage but don't expect any performance in 3D. If you want to make a chance on playable 3D-graphics you can try the Tomb Raider S3 patch. It will run quite alright with a decent CPU.

I used to run this card in my overclocked Pentium 133 (to 166MHz, 2x83FSB) along with an A-Trend Voodoo Graphics card. It ran fine for years, even with the card overclocked using mclk093b. > Read more
