I have three of these CPU's: my first one turned out to be defective. This particular CPU is the most recent mP6 I added to my collection. It's identical to the others but it has been manufactured in the 'unusual' week 53 .

Today AMD and Intel are the main suppliers of x86 CPU's in the world. Back in the day you had more options including Cyrix, IDT and Rise. Those companies were not the so called second suppliers that made clones of existing CPU's, but they had their own x86-design.
