Version: 2004R3
This FPU benchmark is part of CrystalMark 2004 and uses four (MikoFPU, RandMeanSS, FFT, Mandelbrot) FPU benchmarks. FPU stands for Floating Point Unit. Not all x86 processors featured an FPU which meant that it had to be emulated, which is much slower. Modern (actually starting from the 80486DX) CPU's from AMD and Intel all have FPU build in.
My benchmark method
Launch CrystalMark 2004 and press FPU. Let the four sub-benchmarks run and note the FPU (not the final) score. It's advisable to run this benchmark more than once. I often benchmarked at least three times before writing down the highest score.
